YORK® High Performance Modular Chiller for Process Cooling

Process cooling is used in many manufacturing industries to remove heat from a process. This technology is quite different to space cooling. With a proper design, it can increase the efficiency of production processes and save the operations cost of the factory.

Process cooling are widely used in various industries such as food processing, plastic industry, pharmaceutical and medical industry, printing industry, etc.

There are three key requirements in process cooling.

The key objective of a factory is to have an efficient and stable production. The cooling source of process cooling must be reliable enough to ensure no emergency break down. Reliable system is always equipped with some redundancy, and the stable means supply qualified chilled water at specific temperature.

  • Reliability at Chiller level: Each module has 1-4 refrigerant cycles. All cycles can be backup for each other

High accuracy control of the supply water temperature:

  • Standard control tolerance of water temperature, ±1~3℃
  • Free to set the control of water temperature: Return or supply or Both (only YMAE-Q)

Wide operation range can meet complex conditions

York chiller is designed to operate under a wide operation range.

  • Supply cooling at extreme high Ambient 48℃ and supply heating at extreme low Ambient -25℃
  • Supply chilled water lower to -10℃ with EG (ethylene glycol)
  • Supply hot water up to 60℃

24Hx7D Uninterrupted Operations

Flexible design of the chilled water system enabled 7*24h operation with high redundancy at system level.

The chilled water system can be designed as N/N+1 system, which can supply sufficient cooling when one module is break down.

The chilled water system can be designed as N+N system, which is consist of air-cool chiller and water cool chiller. when one of them is break down, the other system can continue to supply to the process cooling operation line.
