The objective is to strengthen and expand the internal talent pool and ensure a continuous flow of entry-level talent for Johnson Controls. The team began its search for these interns in late November 2021. The recruiting team reached out to various colleges, spent time with their placement faculty and shortlisted the final 50 from the 1,300 who attended the virtual college connect event hosted by ITC. The purpose of the virtual college connect event was to raise the awareness of Johnson Controls amongst interested students as well as our various open positions in technology roles. All our interns are computer science students in the last semester of their four-year degree program.

In January this year, the interns joined us and were welcomed with a four-day boot camp program, introducing them to the company’s different business functions and units.

“We are hoping to convert more than half of the high-performing interns to full-time positions by July. Through this talent program, IT will be able to facilitate continuous growth of competence and capability across technology verticals and functions and deliver at scale,” said Lokesh Pant, Director, IT Delivery, India.

In addition to the ongoing internship, the students will also be part of the Future Leaders Internship Program from March to May this year. This global program allows young men and women to network with their peers worldwide and collaborate in an innovation challenge to solve business problems.

We wish our interns all the very best!
